Treadmill 35:00 [3] 2.2 mi (15:54 / mi)
slept:6.0 shoes: Sauc. Grid Cohes.9 -a 8.5W

In the gym at the "clubhouse" here. Tried the elliptical first (there are two) but the movement didn't feel right. Then got on one of the two treadmills and walked for awhile. At one point I wanted to move the emergency stop strap which was hanging from the bar in front of me (which I did *not* have attached to me; it's apparently magnetic) and the magnet detached so the darn machine stopped completely and I lost the distance data up to that point. Continued to get to 35 minutes (time included warm up and cool down; most of the walking was at 4 mph), but distance is estimated.

Did a few upright rows with 5# weights and some pulldowns with the machine that incorporates lats, but was leery of the others. There are also a couple of bike/spin type units that I may try at some point. In any case, the treadmill is only for weather unpleasant enough that I don't want to walk in the neighborhood (such as below freezing or windy days). I did, however, walk over to the clubhouse, which took me 2:30 each way (not counted).

We ran into our next door neighbor Chris after coming back from shopping and she says she's been to both the Yoga and Zumba Gold classes they hold in the clubhouse studio, and I will probably join her next Monday.

Hiking in the South Mountain Preserve near Allentown, starting from the Emmaus (other) side of the hill we can see from our sunroom. We got almost to the high point but decided not to go on the Yellow trail near the ridge which would have taken us close (next time?). Crossed Trout Run and Rodale Run, two streams/rocky reentrants, which could be impressive after a good rainfall.

Trail map (Lehigh County has a wonderful site for trail maps...very easy to use with excellent topo maps)
Wildlands Conservancy trail map (this is the one we had with us that doesn't have all the trials of the first link)

Lots of folks in the park today. Some nicer woods higher up the side of the ridge (mostly a variety of oak and oak saplings below, some beech mixed in higher up, plus some large tulip poplars in the uplands).
