Note

Abort. About 5" of greasy clumpy wet snow and counting.

We tried to get out of NY to get to the Traverse in Amherst, but roads were slippery between our town and the next one three miles away. And the Berkshires (highest elevation over 1700' on the MassPike) were still between us and the event; the NY Thruway that we passed over on the way to the next town had some snow. No reason to believe the MassPike was any better.

Too bad transportation à la Star Trek hasn't been developed yet.

Walk into MB and back with a side "spur" adding another quarter mile (which I had previously thought was a bit farther, 0.3 mi).

Scone half mile was at a jog. Knee somewhat uncomfortable after Pilates, and it affected my stride somewhat, but I managed to stick it out, then returned to walking.
