Model map near Kanata Lake (COC middle model). Walked around most of the controls. Woods were a bit wet from yesterday's rain.

Didn't quite get into this orienteering thing today. :-) Bobbled 1 and 4, and major brain collapse at 7, where I was in the right place but didn't think I'd gone far enough (we were on 1:7500 and I guess I was calibrated for 1:10000), so I didn't check the code on the bag 15 m away, in a similar feature to what I was looking for... sheesh.

Ended up wandering a bit before I got properly relocated; 10 min lost. And I figure maybe 4-4:30 on 1 and 4.

Finished 9th of about 18 or so F55-64. Fastest (Marion Owen) was around 22 min. Official splits list 43:17; FR distance is 2.01 miles.

8/24 -- I posted my gps track on RouteGadget (hope the link works) for all to see. I need to learn not to do things like this ever again. :-)

Didn't do much yesterday; Saturday went to Norman Rockwell Museum with son and d-i-l, and to a wine tasting at a nearby orchard/winery, so was on my feet a bit more than normal even if it wasn't aerobic. Fun afternoon. :-)
