Orienteering race (sprint # 2) 52:30 [3] *** 3.47 km (15:08 / km) +115m 12:59 / km
spiked:13/13c shoes: Jala Jukola Spider 6 #2

Slow and steady, especially on the uphills. :-) Relative to Glen, I did a little longer than my usual speed. Did Sprint #2 first because Glen was doing #1; most people did #1 first and then #2. Saw PG at #2 and Coach after #8.

Orienteering race (sprint # 1) 40:59 [4] *** 3.05 km (13:26 / km) +105m 11:28 / km
spiked:11/11c shoes: Jala Jukola Spider 6 #2

Picked up the speed a little for #1 (my second), partly because it was more trail running than the other sprint, and partly because I knew how fast Gail had done this course (I beat her by a mere 35 seconds; she beat me by more than 3 minutes on the other sprint).
Fun courses on a new (to me) map.

Running (paved) 34:31 [3] 2.6 mi (13:17 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Shadow 6000 8.5 #1

Took it slow, partly because of the hill in the 1st quarter mile...partly because I'm running sprints tomorrow (Forest Park).

Walking (fundraising walk) 2:00:00 [2] 6.7 mi (17:55 / mi)
shoes: Trail NB 705 8.5D

6th annual "Garbage Trail Walk" to raise funds to fight Huntington's disease, from Houstonic to Stockbridge, MA. Walked with Greg, his girlfriend, and her father. Her family has participated in the past.

Note

The best part of doing this walk was being asked if I wanted to use the extra ticket Greg's GF's family had bought (her brother didn't come up from NJ this year) to the Arlo Guthrie concert at the Guthrie Center. :-)
