Walking hills 58:20 [3] 3.55 mi (16:26 / mi) +98m 15:08 / mi
shoes: Sauc.Shad-6000#8-2014H

More hills in the mix today. I was by myself so pushed the pace a bit. First km was under 10 min so right on track...then the hills kicked up. More big houses.

Walking 1:08:43 [2] 3.47 mi (19:48 / mi) +57m 18:51 / mi
slept:7.0

Around the neighborhood(s), going places we hadn't seen yet (and some that Glen had been to already). Hills, but relatively gentle ones the way we attacked them. I wouldn't want to go counterclockwise in the development on the hillside. Some big McMansions here...

Around part of the development still being built, and the condo development across the road. Temp about 40F, cloudy, not as breezy as Wednesday.

slept:6.0 shoes: Sauc.Shad-6000#8-2014H

Around the neighborhood and adjacent development with McMansions. A bit cold heading into the wind but good to get out in above-freezing temps (~36F).

Saturday Dec 17, 2016 #

Note

Spent some time at the old house doing cleaning we didn't have time for before (including scrubbing the cabinets and fridge and mopping floors). If it doesn't rain all day tomorrow I'll try to get out for a walk.

slept:6.0 shoes: Sauc.Shad-6000#8-2014H

Exploring part of the new neighborhood!

Sunday Dec 11, 2016 #

Note

Movers moved us Friday but we haven't made much headway yet. Today is the day we finish unwrapping the kitchen/dishes/glassware items and try to sort out where they go. This must be the hardest part in moving for those who do it more often (military families) besides leaving friends, although they probably travel lighter (with less stuff!) than we do.

Once I can see an organized kitchen then I'll look for ways to exercise. It's predicted to be cold this week so I'll probably use the treadmill or elliptical in the community's "clubhouse."

Pilates class (bands) 50:00 [1]
slept:6.0

Last class at the Y. We'll miss those folk.

Monday Dec 5, 2016 #

Exerc. Class 45:00 [1]
slept:7.0

5-5-5 x2 plus warmup, abs, and stretching.

Last day at The Firm. :-( I hope I find new instructors who are as entertaining/distracting as the Jenster.

Orienteering race (night O) 1:02:01 [3] *** 3.94 km (15:44 / km) +147m 13:16 / km
spiked:12/14c slept:6.0 shoes: Inov8 ORoc280-B 2013-10

At Ratlum Mtn. Long night O course, nominally 3.2 km

Slow but steady. Took small trails to 2 and then cut through woods so probably lost a little time but I mostly knew where I was.

I had help on 6 (Bill D) and 8 (Phil B) and probably would have taken longer without them being there.

Thanks again, Rhonda and Charlie!

Walking (paved) 22:46 [2] 1.3 mi (17:31 / mi)

To P.O. and back to mail some envelopes.

Pilates class (weights) 50:00 [1]
slept:6.5

11 AM

Walking (track) 18:52 intensity: (3:37 @1) + (15:15 @3) 1.2 mi (15:43 / mi)
shoes: Sauc. Grid Cohes.9 -a 8.5W

A mile only plus cool down because we have errands to get to.

A dead tree came down last night when we had some wind gusts after the rain stopped (we heard the crash but couldn't identify what it was). Pretty far from the house but it's in the middle of a path we keep open to the brush pile so Glen wants to get it cleaned up.
