Just weights today, mostly used for bicep curls. All the rest was body weight (or leg weight) workouts. Glad my shoulders and back weren't too stressed from Sunday's class.

Pulldowns at 62.5# didn't bother my elbow, so I'll stay there for awhile. Adductors at 80 and 75# (12 reps)

Note

Walked at the mall from one end to the other and back, about 1/2 mile. While it was horrendous getting TO the mall, parking was relatively easy to find (if you know the best places). Took a while to leave the mall, though; ring road isn't designed properly for the amount of holiday traffic there is, but I managed to get in and out with no accidents. And even got somethng I was looking for. No way I'll go there tomorrow.

Hips still tight from yesterday, so made sure to throw in extra stretches today. I have loose(?) ligaments(?) in both my right shoulder and right hip that I can feel "snapping" over the bones there. Uncomfortable sometimes.

5-5-5 (x 2) again. One class member brought Christmas cookies, and I brought fudge. If you need an easy recipe, the microwave fudge recipe I use doesn't use marshmallows and is well-received....

Because no one else had shoveled out the mailboxes. Mail had been delivered because our carrier's pickup could get close enough, I guess, but I don't like stepping into the snow bank to get my mail.

With Connie. She's a tough lady and really kept us going, no breaks. I did not do the push-ups, even from my knees, but did do planks. She was leading the version where you start standing, roll yourself down and out, and then do a push-up, adding one with each repeat (for a total of 10, if you did them all), then work your way back up to standing. Ugh.

She doesn't stop to stretch as much as Mary so I had to throw in some breaks of my own.

In Chatham, starting late, as usual. Included aerobics to start and then stepping, abs after; no weights.

Awoke after 5 hours sleep, tossed and turned for awhile, wondering what happened to my clock/radio which was dark (first thought it was a power outage, but then I noticed all other clocks in the room [two others] had lights), and why the phone wasn't working, along with other thoughts. They conspired to not let me go back to sleep (despite counting to 800+), so I got up around 6am or so.

Clock wasn't working because cord was almost all the way pulled out (a mystery in itself--gremlins?), and called the phone co. around noon after checking the line at the box with a spare phone (nothing). Fairpoint. Still nothing three hours later.

Abs still sore from Sunday's class but I survived. Connie, who sets up near me and has been out since August, is back; she had anaplasmosis and was in the hospital for five days, and had a long recovery. Scary stuff.

Sunday class with Connie, who I remembered as having a muscular upper body (I'd gone on a Sunday a few times), and this memory was confirmed. Weights were the only tool. Some exercises similar to the ones Mary does, but more reps on a lot of them. Good session.
