Out in the "back yard" (16 acres of mostly meadow but partly woods), sometimes battling bittersweet and otherwise opening up trails where I could.
Was planning to go fieldcheck today but struggles with my printer long enough I didn't have enough time left to go (and get back in time to fix dinner).--My plan is to go tomorrow...

Grafton Lakes-EMPO meet. 1:15000 map that I had a LOT of trouble reading, even with my magnifier (which isn't strong enough). One "bingo" control, 4 others on which I wasn't quite clean. Hard to run in the forest (hemlocks, rocky ground).

Brown recreational course. Didn't run (except on roads/trails); this was a more "thoughtful" than physical exercise (recovering from sprints on Saturday). Still managed to make parallel errors on two controls, and took a wrong turn out of a control near the end.

Gentle uphill climb on an out-and-back run; negative splits on the second half, of course. (Splits of 12:40, 8:39, 7:09 & 11:00; I have trouble with hills.)

Want to keep up my training level from the last two weeks in Oregon/Washington, so I did a run in the afternoon, when it was about 76 degrees (and humid, but not as bad as in early August). Pushed it a bit too, doing the first mile (downhill) in less than 11:00.
