Opted to pick up all the tapes from the training rather than running the event.

Orienteering 50:00 [2] 3.0 km (16:40 / km) +120m 13:53 / km

Putting out tapes on Gwaelod y Garth for some SWOC/ WJOS training at Gwaelod y Garth before the SWOC local event.

Training / coaching well received with quite a lot of new families which was good to see. And Gwaelod is such a little gem of an area.

Fell Race race 51:18 [3] 8.35 km (6:09 / km) +344m 5:06 / km

Feeling a lot better, so thought I would go up with Alice to Sugar Loaf nght fell race and just take it easy towards the back.

Started very easy but felt OK as I got going . Then I caught Alice - which reminded me to keep to my plan - and so I basically just sat in behind her. Probably sensible. And she didn't seem to object.

Blue on Holme Fell .

Still not feeling 100% so didn't attack this much. Also not reading the map very well with magnifier all misted up. So actually quite pleased not to be too far off Mike Billinghrusrt and Keth Tonkin.

Enjoyed it but will give running a miss for a few days now to try to get rid of this cold.
