Uhmed and ahed before going out form Hathersage with Alice for an early morning run. But wanted to get some fresh air before the all day meeting. So opted to start and see how it went. Cloud lifted and sun came out and we eneded up going further than I originally intended, Getting up on to Stanage before looping back. Great views up the Hope valley.

In the Peaks for the JROS meeting on Satruday, so Alice and went up early and had a scenic run with Joe and Chloe from Fox Houses - a loop round Burgbage brook. A bit murky but back before the rain really hit .

Feeling somewhat less than 100% myself - cold/sore throat seems to have come back - but good to catch up with Joe and Chloe. And nice coffee and cake in Sheffield after.

MDC run up Sugarloaf from Pantygelli.

It was clear that Gareth was going to be a lot off the pace, and too wet and windy a night for everyone to be kept hanging around more than neccessary, so I accompanied him - taking the shortest routes - the main group were doing approximately the race route. So quite a slow run. - especially on any of the steeper sections - up and down. but we didn't get back much after the others. And I don't suppose I'll ever win M70 at the Snowdonia Marathon......

WJS training at Newborough.

Putting out tapes then shadowing two relative newbies - Lois and Ifan. Fell runners both, recruited by Tom. Seemed to enjoy it abnd hopefully we'll see them again.

Pouring with rain as we drove into the car park but cleared up by the time alice and I got out. Mostly dry with just a bit of drizzle at times. So spirits stayed high all day. 10 youngsters - which is better than we have had in the past - and enough for a YBT team for Eryri. A testament to the good work being done by Jim. But none of the families from the Eryri Summer races, I don't think - so potential for more progress.
