Hiily fields parkrun. Legs dead after Friday's longrun and personal worst for a parkrun by some margin was the predicatble result. But an efficient way of getting a reasonable run in before a great day/night at Keith's wedding.

Army race at Barossa.

A couple of 20s wobbles, but otherwise pretty smooth. Pleased how my legs felt - much better than they usually are on a Wednesday. Probably the result of easier than usual Monday and Tuesday, but I do feel I am starting to get back a degree of fitness after the inevtibally disjointed summer from a training perspective.

Fun race, much of the forest very nice, even at this time of year.

MDC run from Blaencwm at the head of Rhondda Fawr. One of the great very little known scenic spots in South Wales. As good as anywhere in the Brecon Beacons. Upto the waterfall, and this year, anticlockwise around the cwm which was new to me - we usually go to Pen Pych and into Blaenrhondda.

Path very flooded in places - would have been good in this summers drought perhaps, but then the waterfall wouldn't have been so good. Woods on top might warrant a bit more of an explore - some of it looked great, and now with the wind farm roads, possibly accessible.

After the O on Saturday, and a much needed warming coffee in Burnley Tesco, Alice, Charles & I drove north to the Yorkshire Dales where we camped a little bit north of Ingleton and had a great pub meal - beers and food.

Wet night, tent leaking.

Long run in the morning - time to get OMM training - Ingleborough (a new hill for me) and a loop round the limestone pavement along the south east side of Whernside. Saw an icecream van in a most unlikely spot along a rough track near Ingleton, but had no money with us......

Soggy run, but fun. All day breakfast at campsite afterwards, before M6 trek back.
