Run 27:23 [3] 4.44 km (6:10 / km) +103m 5:32 / km

I won being part of first run of the day again. Though fortunately, the previous night we had got a bit ahead of schedule , so didn't need to start until 8:00 and had had time to get the tent down in the light.

Not feeling very spritely, but fortunately I wasn't the only one.

Bull bay to Amlwch. Great little harbour there. According to Alice back in 1800 Amlwch had a bigger population than Cardiff - all to do with the Copper Mining on nearby Parrys mountain.
10 AM

Run 28:31 [3] 4.88 km (5:51 / km) +90m 5:21 / km

Traeth Dulas to Traeth Lligwy. Estuary, hill , headland, beach.... coffee and some Dallimore cake at end.
12 PM

Run 1:00:41 [3] 10.18 km (5:58 / km) +231m 5:21 / km

My last run of weekend. From Eastern end of Red Wharf bay to Penmon Point.

Had expected path to take us up to near Bwrrdd Arthur fort - but new path / way markers kept us much closer to the cliffs, which was great - even though longer, less road running . It did cause some confusion for those watching our tracker progress though - Marcus going wrong ? Surely not?....... Lovely finish down to the headland with views on all sides.

Icecream at end for me.

Note

Tremendous weekend away. not visited Angeley much previously - Newborough and Ferry port mainly - and was really impressed by the coast line. Many interesting things to see as well - prehistoric remains, Old industrial features. Definitely want to spend a bit more time there.

Relay itself was a great social event as well - good chance to get to know better some of the newer member of the club and to catch up again with old timers such as Tom and Astrid Gibbs.

Thanks due to Karen Elvers for making it happen and to GD44 for working out the running schedule.
