7 AM

Run 46:37 [3] 8.33 km (5:36 / km) +85m 5:19 / km

First leg of the day and took a while to get going. From Maltreath to Aberfraw. Cutting inland to start which wasn't the most interesting, but lovely on the last bit as we we got down to the dunes, then beach and back up the estuary.
9 AM

Run 4:41 [3] 7.56 km (37 / km) +50m 36 / km

From just south of Rhosneigr to the Northern end of Anglesey airport. Mainly hugging the coast, great views out to Holy island and attractive beach in Trath Cymyran.
3 PM

Run 32:49 [3] 5.91 km (5:33 / km) +15m 5:29 / km

Saw the Flying Scotsman going over bridge exactly at the moment we were driving underneath it. Then saw it again crossing the causeway as we were wating for changeover at Penrhos.

Run from there across the causeway then up the little estuary to Llanfachraeth. A real timeless quality to the estuary. Easy to imagine medaeval folk in coracles putting nets across the river - probably just my imagination - did they use coracles in this part of Wales ?
5 PM

Run 51:39 [3] 7.78 km (6:38 / km) +132m 6:07 / km

The wildest bit of coast of the day for me. Had to jog down to change over in little cove by Ynys y Fydlyn. Then around Carmel head and as far as Bryn aber with views towards Wylfa nuclear powerstation . Quite a juxtoposition.
