Orienteering race 33:53 [4] 6.0 km (5:39 / km)

JK Relay. Tom had an absolute stormer on leg 1 and Alistair did well so I set off in a good position. Felt very tired physically and mentally but managed to have a fairly clean run bar one 1 min error half way round.

We came 8th overall (ignoring the n/c national teams). A very good result for MDOC.

JK long, a fairly epic race as expected. Made a 1 min error on number 2 which put me in sight of Vokesy and he caught me by 8. Completely lost it on 9 by rushing into a vague area. Though Matthew had punched the control so ran towards where he was running away from. Turns out he had relocated and was running straight to the control. Ran in circles until I relocated. 8 minutes lost, whoops. Decided to reset and just try and enjoy the rest of the course, which I did. Navigated well and no mistakes to the end. Struggled physically as expected, but definitely improved massively. After finishing I wasn't as tired / sore as I have been after these races recently. Positive.

JK Middle at Ulpha Park. Lost 5 mins on number 5 by horrendously undershooting, bah. Tim G caught me 4 mins and I ran with him to the end making a few scrappy errors along the way. Enjoyed it though.

JK sprint at Lancaster uni. Really good planning and terrain. Started well and running fast, caught my 1 min man and then started getting sloppy. At a control near the end I got to my control and misread the number so ran off but realised it definitely was my control. Lost 30 secs.
