Bryant Creek hut back to mount shark parking lot....again on the alpine touring skis...heavy - last 4 km a killer as they don;t fit in the tracks...felt strong like moose by the end !!!!! Used the skins for the big hill and kept a steady pace all the way up. Another beautiful day in the Rockies - no clouds until end of day...best moment was at breaksfast we had a moose come into the meadow and snooze in the sunshine. Got up very close for photos....

Okay next time i will remember - light alpine touring skies not apline touring skis...these phat luv babies didn't fit in the tracks at the Mount Shark trails so first 4km were a struggle...plus Sheena bought new wax that the colour - temp match was opposite for red and purple...once that was sorted out by the group they did much better...unfortunately for me I was 30 minutes ahead and struggling the entire way...what a work out the entire way to Bryant Creek Hut! Big hill was very fun however - and that almost made it worth it. I made a second track most of the way so people could ski side by side behind me.
Skied on Cindy's light alpine touring after a 4pm snack and that was wonderful...hell I didn;t even need poles!! (I carried my coffee and bailey's in one hand and a camera in the other and could keep up with Mike and Sheena....)..I did not include these 4 km as training but should check with Nicki Rehn as it might just qualify.
great fun and not a cloud in the sky-trip began with 2 moose in a meadow. I'm thinking the moose may be my spirit animal.

I decided skiing for 2 kms drinking coffee with bailey and no poles counts as training as I want to get my hours up!!! After snack ski Sat evening with Sheena and Mike...I did do snow angels for them...

Quick run with Kat...mostly talking! Didn't wear HR monitor so no stats. Felt okay but I do feel the difference running on pavement vs trails...

WIsh I had my gps...My hr and climb had to be high!
JP put on a great hill training event...just what I needed after doing hills sat, extra squats sunday and hills monday at lunch!!
Messed up one control and only slipped once where i fell....I think the cross fit is paying off as I could actually keep running up all the hills (lindsay park to stanley park,,,).
