Christmas parkrun with Rach... huge crowd and we started so far back so lost a bit of time there! So many elbows! so was nice to do same time as last week and know it would have been faster!
Right shin really iffy though - gonna use this opportunity over the next 10 days off from work, off my feet and off running to try and ease them off and be really to hit 2018 with some good training!!

To icy on track tonight so girls did 5x 3 laps of the grass per int... my watch telling me was just under a km! Tonight's the first night since getting back on the track that I've felt able to push myself as apposed to just get through the session! Possibly because I've actually got some alright sleep this week!!
Didn't really improve on pace but managed to keep rest to 60-80secs but still hold same pace as last couple of sessions which I guess is a small win!
Shins still a bit niggly, calfs tight now but both not as bad as they have been!

So much fun!! Dismal weather and long courses but gave the fairly simple moor a bit more of a challenge and I really enjoyed it!! So much fun running in the snow still... this race definitely made me appreciate that season where Gin kept telling me how good Icebug spirits were non stop!! They delivered!
Technically and physically could be better but I'm not to worried about that rn

Jogged round with Ais... Quite slow for a race but that's about a good pace coming back off the last couple of weeks!! So many hills... Of all sorts and literally did the loop past both jobs and home for the 2nd time today haha... Good fun!!

Kinda lost the momentum with posting... Might catch up if I get a spare moment... But if I'm honest December and even to some extent the last 3 months have not been great for training...
Fast increase in load at Virgin and with running, coupled with teaching 3 crappy circuits and a couple grids a week has left me struggling with shin splints over the last month or so.
Work loads been massive and have not been getting enough sleep so just have been really run down and struggling to stave off the winter bugs through December... Followed by a nice old stomach bug last weekend! Today is the first day all week I've felt hungry, can't remember the last time I didn't wake up feeling tired! And I'm feeling pretty fed up with that!!
Considering all in all was quite happy to slowly get round close to 17km this evening!!
Planning to coast till Christmas, have a week off and reset for Jan with a good training program ready to hit 2018 running (literally) :D

Jogged down to the track to keep Ais company then back to shop... Felt crappy coming back and just kept stopping for stitches.
Planned not to do track sesh as I was on the back end of a weekend stomach bug and just felt wiped out but track was closed when we got there for the ice so I guess no one was doing track sesh!
