First fell race I've actually really enjoyed and felt reasonably good running!
Still walked more of the hills then I would like, still got a stitch on all downhills (but could run through it) but felt comfortable in the legs and (mostly) in the lungs all the way round. Not a very deep field but think I came 5th woman according to Ais.... even got in a little sprint finish victory and all.

Was a super stunning night out in the peaks, so despite it being a real peg from work and having to eat right before in the car I was super glad I went.... moon was low and big and just something else against the sunset!

Dno what the hell I was thinking... it was just so nice I wanted to keep going all night! Feeling wiped today... havnt gotten anything done and have just slept all afternoon... maybe finally playing jukola catch up.

Lower legs in bits too.... lhs not as bad today.... little bit of arch pain at start and end, but rhs achiles very stiff and sore coming back down from broomhill... not going to run the round run tomorrow and maybe need to take it a bit easier for a few days

Absolute stunner evening out in the peaks loved it so much could have easily stayed out for a few hours but Moore needed to get back... which is a good thing because I had also told Hayley I’d dinner with her!

Win hill was tough and had to walk a lot (past a client awks) but then settled into a comfortable pace! Legs and body v tired - lhs not good - shin, arch and knee.

side notes;
not a fan of hoka trail.... only a very specific type of trail they are good for - sorry hoka i tried... but after a grand total of 3 runs im retiring them.
watch not measureing climb correctly - keep having significantly less then anyone else i run with on strava

Lovely evening yog out on froggatt and white edge with Ais, tent, Moore and the purple fox! Really enjoyed... even took a tumble which is a first for a while!

Taken a dossy day today... cancelled early clients... caught up on some much needed sleep and spent the day eating some healthier food then the last week and planning a summer of O yehoooo! Really pleased with this race - I think it’s the first time this year that I felt a bit of flow and settled in to some foreign terrain! Still along way to go but I am feeling that backing off on work even just the little bit has already made a huge difference to my fitness and orienteering!

As we were dq from the 2nd leg I couldn’t see what place we would have been, and havnt yet bothered to look at splits but lovas said I’ve had the highest leg ranking in our team of around 180th. Don’t think my pace was all that much quicker then venla, but this course definitely felt like it visited some more physical parts of the map and I suppose body was more tired running this race.

Now getting a bit of post jukola lull... so sad that a weekend of beautiful terrain is over so quickly! Super keen for oringen and August now!

Soooo much fun... was pretty disappointed to open the map out at control 10 and see I was almost done!

Scrappy at the start after remembering by experience that Finns just get in the forest and stand around yelling their number at you - got distracted and bombed no. 1 by about 6mins, went to no. 2 first!
The rest was good - got in a rhythm and was happy with it, and held the euoc/shuoc sprint finish in the map change over!

We all had small to medium blunders but over all the girls did great finishing 157th... we might be back next year with a much better bib woop woop

Travel day followed by a nice chilled O mess around with the Lova! Soooooooo much fun! Soooooooo happy to be in Finland... with a post run lake dip and all

Mostly navigating well which surprised me a little! We started chatting on a leg in the middle and I lost constration and got a bit sloppy but aside from that picking features at pace ok!

35 odd w/u, 3 x 1min off 1min, 4 x 1min off 40s, 3 x 1min off 20s, dno what the c/d was - 15maybe, all reps somewhere between 220-250m

HR much better in this run then morn run - but definitely noticed a change through any grassy bits!

went to the doc and he told me to get a ventolin so hopefully that eases it off while this crazy pollen in around!

Been feeling good this week so wanted to see what I could do! Went out for a few drinks last night and wasn’t feeling fresh af though this morn!

Had a stitch for the first km and a half had to slow the pace to get rid of it so just sat back to comfortable at 1km mark, then found a rhythm... then the stitch hit again coming into the last little loop and actually had to stop for this one. Think I still had a parkrun pb even on having a pretty shit run! So muggy and hot, as rach said it was like swimming through air!
