hiked up the italian side of the matterhorn as far as you can before you have to climb with Nic…. was really awesome, even though the actual peak stayed behind cloud almost the entire walk… managed to get some knight in shining armour to guide us through a herd of cows which was just fab… and we heard an avalanche we think in the swiss side of the mountain which was freakay… but also fine cos we could see 0 movement on our side… had a fab view of the lake from the day before from the top… all up about 4 or 5 hrs…. then about the same in the bloody car in the bloody Mont Blanc tunnel…. eugh
