The short story - I got this done. The long story is boring, and maybe I will write it up tomorrow, or now, or whenever.

80 laps - the most since July 8.

Started off with the same seemingly lethargic pace. Puzzled why I seem to be going slower, but I don't feel like I am going slower or doing anything differently. I have no expectation of dropping lots of time, but I do expect to maintain. Feeling bummed, and then I remembered something I read on a log a couple of weeks back: Don't look straight down - look slightly forward. I don't remember if I was doing this before but, for sure, now I wasn't. So, I started looking forward, and I could tell that I was swimming faster, or maybe it was the snappy tunes of Shania. Either way, it was fun to be swimming again and stoked to get back up to the 80 laps.

Lifted a ton of boxes at work today, so I think I was pooped from that. I didn't feel worn out, but I couldn't seem to go any faster. May need a haircut as well or should wear the swim cap [I hate wearing it], since my hair has gotten a little long. That has to be worth a few seconds of drag right there. :)

Wearing the boot all day at work the last few days. Pain has decreased about 50%.
