Mowing/Yard 30:00 [1]

Out at 815 today. Not as pleasant as yesterday morning, but moving to the back yard meant more shade. Another 4+ hours digging trench for the rocks, which I was very of sick of moving around now. Lots more digging than the other three days. Got 13 of 26 in before I was stopped by the necessity to get two blocks cut at angles. Good excuse to stop.

Did some planting, raking and watering and called it a day. While my hips and stuff are sore, my upper body held up pretty well. Yeah swimming!

Outside at 7 am to pleasant humidity and a goal to work in the shade most of the day. Got the last four rocks in that stymied me yesterday and then to the side yard. This was harder than I thought it would be since I had to dig deeper trenches to level things out. It was also a long straight away, and my "straight" line was bowing out. Finally grabbed a length of plastic pipe and spray paint and put down a line to follow. Things went better after that. Got these 22 in, had some lunch, and then started a little in the back part which is 26 units. By then, it was in full sun, so I retreated to the shade, pulled some weeds, and then called it a day.

After a shower, I returned the pallet for a $20 credit and visited the grocery store. I lied. I am eating more Wisconsin Mac and Cheese as we speak. My honey, also the cook, returns tomorrow. Yeah!

P.S. On the good news front, I ate a bit less of the family pack of Mac than I did the other night.

Got outside at 715 am. Almost four hours on the second day of moving rocks and digging out a 4" trench to receive said rocks. Did only 17 today (17'). Tougher than yesterday because I had to fight with the roots of a perennial that was in the way. I also was flummoxed by how to turn the corner and leave enough space to get by the magnolia tree at the same time, apart from cutting the magnolia back.

After a shower, lunch, and a rest and resisting going on a bike ride, I finally puzzled out how to handle the corner. Picture forthcoming.

Thankfully, today was a rest day in the 30 day abs program.

Three plus hours moving and placing new edging for the front garden - 30 pounds each, 90 pieces. Thankfully Amy came and helped with the moving part. My arms were jelly by the time I got the first 21 placed and helped move the rest from the street to the vicinity of where they need to. Too much sun. Need to remember to put on sunscreen tomorrow when I tackle the next set of 21...

80 laps. It felt like it was a struggle because a deep breath was a little phlegmy causing me to cough, but I made it through.

Ride to work.

Biking 33:54 [1] 6.2 mi (5:28 / mi)

Ride home. Was a bit hungry but managed to make it up the double hill with just a break at the flat part to gasp for breath.

Note

Fell off the wagon tonight...broke down and bought and mostly ate large frozen MC white cheddar Mac and cheese. Won't even look up and see what the calories were. Got that out of my system for another year. At least it wasn't McDs.
