Note
After finishing my course, I went immediately to my car, and asked Nadim to get the keys and unlock it for me, so I wouldn't get tied up at Results and not get changed all of the way like yesterday. It was just too cold for that today.
Chatted with a couple of people while I got out of my wet shoes. After changing, I relieved Sandy. It was much colder in the shelter on the lake then it was earlier in the day. After a bit I had to go get about three more layers of clothes out of the car and put those on, including another pair of socks.
Props to Linda for sitting and doing the downloading again today. I know she was freezing. When things were winding down, she went and got us lunch again, and today I got a bowl of soup with my sandwich. It was still piping hot when I ate it, and I could have eaten more.
I kept getting confused with the time change because our computers needed to be on the old time to display things correctly. Eventually, it was 1 PM, and we whipped out the results for Mary, and the awards ceremony took place within five minutes of the advertised time. Lots of people stayed for it.
Besides two clowns without a clue out on Green for 4+ hours, and the coach who signed them up for Green, things ran smoothly all day.
The results displays worked great, and the screens are being shipped to my me so I can use them in May for the EMPO event.
Thanks to Sandy for coming to Kansas to help me with the results. I couldn't have done it without her.
Also, thanks to Max for helping to set up the screens, and to Peggy and Nadim for helping me get my excess baggage back to Virginia. How fortunate that we were all on the same flight.
Congratulations to OK and PTOC - these two small clubs did a great job of putting on this event. I don't think I have been ever asked as often - What can I do for you? Do you need anything from me? - I liked it. :)
