Walking (Behind the house) 16:11 [1] 0.76 mi (21:18 / mi) +47m 17:52 / mi
weight:183lbs shoes: Pink!! Ice Bugs

I think some of us can appreciate the potential motivating power of new gear. I have me a new pair of magenta Ice Bugs for orienteering. I wore them to rake leaves this morning, though I don't think I can count that as orienteering, especially since I was using a leaf vacuum. After that broke, we hung it up for the day.

Never ran off the big trail that drops straight down from the house to the paved bike trail below because I was afraid of being spooked by the vagrants living in the woods. Today, I decided I just didn't care. I wanted to do a little something off trail before the day was done, so I laced my pretty new shoes back on and aimed to do 15 minutes of something back behind the house and "exercised."

Saw about a herd of deer (four), and at least two old camp sites. The one in the reentrant was a ton of leaf covered bottles and cans, so I would be good to avoid that until I can pick it up. The other site was smaller, so I will go back out with a bag and pick it up.

I have asthma. It sucks. It gets into my mind, and though this little workout hurt, I made it through.
