Trail Run (Prince William Forest) 2:25:11 [2] 10.15 mi (14:18 / mi) +213m 13:26 / mi
shoes: Ice Bugs - Green

Decided on Prince William, same loop as last Friday. Traffic going south was bad, and I considered bailing to Fountainhead instead, but I continued on, and the delay was about 15 minutes.

Pleasant conditions, and though I didn't get out as early as I had hoped, it was comfortable at ~74 at start and ~80 at end. No humidity to speak of.

Wore Ice Bugs with PSB ankle supports. A dumb idea since I hadn't really worn the supports before, and they rubbed the side of my heels. I think I need Large instead of Medium, or perhaps some moleskin.

I had to make a change to thicker socks at ~2.5 miles. Then I took the supports off around 5 miles. So, that was two rest periods not included in the overall time. Also chatted with a woman looking for campers, and there were a handful of others out, including a guy fly fishing, or practicing fly fishing. Saw no squishy sticks, or bears (sigh!).

Miles this week and last week were:
1533 1246 1508 1706 1452 1302 1412 1202 1427 1242
1624 1358 1553 1902 1504 1314 1354 1204 1442 1232

I felt like I was plodding along, but I guess I was a little faster then last time... Really could have used some additional fuel. The one GU did not do the trick.

1 PM

Misc (The DVD) 40:00 [2]

At work. A bit more comfortable with a floor pad.

One for the weekly quota.
2 PM

Running/Walking 42:15 [2] 4.0 mi (10:34 / mi)
shoes: NB 1064 Blue

Around the paved "track" at work. It does appear to be .25 miles, especially if you stay a bit outside.

No plan, but it ended up as
1600 (212 218 220 219)
400 (323)
1200 (205 213 215 - opposite direction for these laps)
400 (324)
800 (210 214)
400 (320)
400 (204)
400 (317)

Walked the lap in between. Ran through the field sprinkler on 3rd lap, and also managed to get totally soaked later on as well. Felt great! Running felt decent as well.
3 PM

Biking 42:04 [2] 7.14 mi (5:53 / mi) +49m 5:46 / mi
shoes: Bike Sandals

Completing the afternoon trifecta with the ride home. Monster headwinds and a bit of fatigue made it feel like I was going slow motion at times. Uphill was on George Mason Drive. I think this is the hardest of the six options. I might have to try and rank each of them.

Sunday, I was worthless. Woke up early, but then I napped most of the afternoon.

Monday and Tuesday, I went to work, but I took no lunch. So, when I got home, I ate, and napped, and a workout wasn't happening.

Today was the day to put my foot down, at least a little -the lethargy had to go! And, today was just too nice a day to waste without doing something - 80 F, feels like 79!! We don't get negative splits here in WDC area often.

I am accepting that the ride to work and back was all I could muster for today. Tomorrow is supposed to be even more pleasant, so I will plan a long ride on the way home from work.

Really behind on the week's quota for the DVD.
