Misc (Moving boxes) 10:00 [1]

My body says that I deserve some training credit for today. Lots of lifting and carrying. I now have my second set of 200 boxes ready for the incinerator. They are supposed to be picked up Monday.

Move date looks like April 9. Saw the office part today. I should have taken a picture of the newly painted Tangerine walls. I love them! So bright. Goodbye pale yellow walls that I have looked at for the last 15 years!!

All prepped for this weekends events:
Saturday -
1. The HAT Run 50K - race timing. On the road to Susquehanna, MD by 6 AM. Leave there by 6 PM. Event files set up. Sandy is working this one with me.
2. Drive to Clarksburg, MD for QOC Night-O. Arrive there about 8 PM and try out a course. Still afraid of the dark, so perhaps I will troll for a companion. Event files setup and emailed to Mihai. Printed maps yesterday.
3. Home to Arlington, arriving around 11 PM.
Sunday -
4. Arlington to Hemlock Overlook near Clifton, VA. Leave house by 7 AM.
Time 5/10 mile trail races. Event files set up. Depart Hemlock around 11:30, and drive back to Clarksburg.
5. Arrive in Clarksburg between 12:30 and 1. Event files set up and emailed to Mihai. Maps printed tonight. Do the Green course. Help shut down the epunching operation. Find someone to take the first shift for next weekend at Wheaton. Hang out a little perhaps since dinner won't be waiting for me. Arrive home by 6 PM. Email backup to Diana so she can do her thing. Crash.

Gave myself some options and included an overnight bag in case I can't make it home after the night-o and decide to spend the night somewhere.

It is going to be a beautiful weekend, and I am actually looking forward to it, even all the craziness. Hey, maybe I can even squeeze a short bike ride in on Sunday after I get home.

Note

It was a weird week.
Sunday - Broke new ground as I worked on my backbone.
Monday - Broke additional new ground by insulting someone and hurting someone else. Still feel crappy about that.
Tuesday - Refrained from hurting or insulting anyone (I think).
Wednesday - really excited to reach the end of the day and watch Thursday night TV shows. Oops, I was a day early. Unnaturally deflated.
Thursday - awoke early even though I had the whole day off, wondered why the trash truck hadn't come (Friday is the actual day), worked an hour before my appointment just because I am stressed about the move, had my yearly physical (denied any "issues"), took Roger to the airport (off to Italy), met with Diana, upstairs at 8 PM to watch Thursday night TV shows only to discover that the NCAA tournament has taken precedence. Deflated once again.
Tomorrow is Friday. I hope I remember that.

My chuckle from yesterday's meet...

Last week, I brought 1/4 of the Peeps I received as a "thank you"? "gift" ? from TSN. With just a little arm twisting, I got rid of them all at the download station. One youngster (maybe 4 years old) was encouraged on by the fact that he could have a package of peeps when he was done his course.

Yesterday, I fully intended to bring the next case of 24, but I forgot. The same youngster stepped up to register and the first thing he says was "where are the peeps?"

Note

A good start to the week at work. Fairly productive and a plan is coming together to get things organized for the move.

Also, I got approval for about 9X my usual yearly funds to get records scanned. Good news. Somewhat not so good news is that I have to prepare 400 boxes for pickup by April 7. But, I work well under pressure, so I should be able to get it done in time.
