Note
Spring Break ends. Back to work tomorrow with nothing accomplished, except for a trip to the doctor, and a trip to the Leesburg Levi's outlet for four new pair of jeans for work.
DR. increased Advair from 150 to 250, and that seems to have finally knocked out the wheezing, and the BP meds have lowered my BP into the good range.
O Training (Rosaryville Blue) 3:20:00 [3] *** 10.5 mi (19:03 / mi)
shoes: Ice Bugs Men's Blue 8.5
I won't be here for QOC's Rosaryville, MD meet on April 30, so Nadim kindly agreed to provide me a sneak peep at the courses. With streamers hung, it was almost as good as a regular meet.
In my usual "all or nothing" fashion, I picked the 9.9 km Blue course. I was immediately challenged by the route choice to #1 because a large number of dogs were using the nearby training equipment, and I did not want bite marks on my butt right out of the start.
Things went well until #4 when I was confused by a trail which wasn't mapped and one which was mapped. Settled in again, and did fine until I encountered a pair of dogs as I was fouling up #11. I started back down the trail from the way I wanted to go, which turned out to be towards their house. A raised stick and a raised voice finally sent them into the woods, and I was able to get back on track.
Errors also on #13 and #19.
Besides two bikers, I did not see anyone the entire time except for Jon T doing some field checking near the end.
I would have been happier with 3 hours, but 3:20 is okay too. What a wonderful day in the woods.
