Orienteering 1:09:00 [3] 4.35 mi (15:52 / mi)
slept:4.0 weight:173lbs shoes: Silva K80

Worked another event today. So went to QOC meet with plan to help pick up controls - something I don't generally enjoy doing, but I wanted to get some O in... Got there 45 minutes before control pickup time time, so grabbed a Yellow map, answered a few epunch questions (Heidi and Darcy soloing for the 1st time), and hauled butt for an unofficial run. Ran as hard as I could, though some of the orienteering was a bit difficult for Yellow (and even my minus Green level when low on concentration). Finished the course in 30 minutes. Then , while plenty warmed up, went back out for controls. Very enjoyable day.

Note

Spring Break - no work - April 8 through 17.
Bull Run Run 50 Miler - finish - results are available 3 hours after the last finisher...

Trail Run (Hemlock) 1:03:18 [3] 5.4 mi (11:43 / mi)
slept:4.0 weight:175lbs shoes: Saucony Omni Trail

A wonderful but sloppy run in the rain on the trails with a new friend during the Bull Run Run 50 miler. Timed the first time through at ~17, and then the finish. Good company, poor weather, glad I wasn't running 50.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
slept:6.0 weight:174lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

Was awake at 5 today, so I left the house a little earlier and ran a mile before BC.

Misc 1:00:00 [3] 1.0 mi (1:00:01 / mi)
shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

More legs than arms today, though we did 15 Body Shapers which invole 30 pushups. Lots of sprints, wall sits, calf raises, pulsing squats, some jump rope, arm punching with the band, Dirty Dog, Donkey Kicks, and ab work independently. Yes, it was a good session today.

Misc 1:00:00 [3]
slept:6.0 weight:174lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 2

Session lead by the Wolf man himself - the program director. I was there early today and ran a few extra laps. Lots more upper body AGAIN today!! It took me back - some of the women were commenting that some of us (me) weren't even on our knees for the pushups. Well, back in the day, I would have been on my knees for all but 1 of them, now I can do about half of the reps regular and half girlie.

Misc 1:00:00 [3] 0.6 mi (1:39:58 / mi)
slept:2.0 weight:175lbs shoes: Saucony 7 - Banana 1

Poor night - wired with too much going on this week. So stayed up and watched Maryland women with their first NCAA title in B-Ball. Finally fell asleep hard at 4 AM and up at 5:20.
I ran 3 laps to start the session. Then everything else seemed hard - lots of Body Shapers (with two puchups in each one), then pushups, Mountain Climbers, incline pushups, etc. Must have been obviously struggling because each instructor came up and asked if I was okay. This irks some of the others who never get any attention when they are struggling becasue they are usually just slacking off.
Breathing harder than usual.

The session was so-so. 40 Burpees, some sprinting, and band work and squats.
Do feel soreness from yesterday and knee is a bit painful also.
