Thought about a trip down to PW for a trail run since I was awake early, but decided a rest day was good. Gloom and doom forecast for about 4-9 inches of snow - 3:21 PM & sill nothin'.

Started with running around the hamster wheel size loops - maybe 30 laps to the mile... Then jump rope alternating with arm work w/ the bands. Brought a jump rope of my own because the ones they provide suck. It is (was) the beaded kind... So, I am cruising along through 4 or 5 sets when the sucker breaks and the beads go flying all over the place! It was like in slow motion & very funny.
Pushups today - 20 regular/40 girlie, 10 regular/20 girlie. Left arm still pretty sore today. Better session than yesterday - I wasn't looking at my watch every 5 minutes.

Not as good a session today - struggled with my breathing for the first time in a while. Didn't help that we were doing suicide sprints within the first 15 minutes - I am not warmed up enough until ~ 25 minutes. But I am competitive enough to do them all out anyway.
Started with stretching, 100 jumping jacks, and running alternating with the sprints. Then legs today - squats, standing lunges, and pulsing variation of both of those. A couple of minutes of crunches, etc. at the end.

Was planning to leave work a little early & run around Lake Accotink, but I am a wuss when it comes to wind, so it turned into a treamill session after a nap... 5 minutes each warm up & cool down.

Ran 55 minutes without stopping. Decided on a speed that wouldn't stress my breathing too much. My chest is feeling like it did on Jan 1 after a day of exposure to dust. I opened and moved a lot of dusty boxes of work yesterday. By the time I left work, I was congested. This probably explains this morning's struggles. A little congested and tight tonight. I hate this allergy/asthma stuff!! Hmmm, I'll go have some cookies to make me feel better...just kidding!

Got an email in advance that we would be outside and running this morning. Temps around 29 F but no wind, so no problem. Actually overdressed with 3 thin layers. The 3rd didn't last long.
Warmup and jumping jacks and stuff. Then off for a run - 2.8 miles. I am at the tail end of the lead group, so they would stop and be doing some exercises & I would catch up, do some also, and then off again. Ran well. Did the last part quickly (.92 mile @ 816 pace) - it did include a downhill. :) Extras included mountain climers, burpees, body shapers, planking, crunches, leg throws. Good session.

Borderline temps at 32 F. Instead of wasting time by standing around debating whether the session should be inside or out, I kept running the warmup lap (3 times) until it was decided - going inside. Today I was prepared - had shorts/short sleeve shirt in the car...
Upper body today. After stretching, jumping jacks, lots of pushups (1 m, 45 s, 30 s) with partner band work in between. Partner resistant arm raises, reverse crunches, and bicycle. And the usual filler.
Arms are sore. Ankle is a little tight. Remembered to bring in peas to work so I could ice it.

Note

Bad food day yesterday - around 2000 calories in snack cakes, candy, and caramel popcorn. Plus meals. Ughhh!!! I hate when I do that.

Chillier than the day we went inside last week, so I dressed for inside today. But some wanted out & some wanted in - so, group was split. Up the hill outside vsersus sprints inside - better instructor outside, so I went out.
Warm up lap (.2 mile), 100 jumping jacks, then Mountain Climbers, 10 pushups, 3 lap Ranger Run (.6 mile), 20 pushups, 20 situps, 20 pushups, 20 situps, 20 pushups, 30 situps.
Off to run up THE hill. Here is the profile! Time: .5 to hill (515), .2 up hill (307), .2 downhill (124), .5 back (417). Part way down and back up backwards - very awkward... Rest of workout included 25 bench sits, 25 bench pushups, 15 pullups with help, arm lifts with resistance.
Started the day pooped from yesterday, but got better as the session went on.
