Orienteering (Telemark US Champs) 1:36:18 [3] 7.7 km (12:30 / km)

First day of the US Champs. Cold and a bit of snow/rain mix. Start near the front of the start window but do not prestart. See Katleen and Kris, but few others. Pretty happy with my run despite a couple of 6 minute or so errors. Place 4th behind Natalia (no chance of catching), Nancy K, and Barb D.

Course distance 5.6 km. Because of all the trail runs, actual distance covered was 7.7 km.

Biking (W&OD) 1:17:45 [2] 14.2 mi (5:29 / mi)

Wanted to bike last night but had to mow the lawn instead. So, plan was to go right after work tonight if it wasn't raining. Well, it just started to sprinkle when I got outside. That usually is enough reason for me to go crawl into bed and watch the Gilmore Girls. But I decided to give it a go. Got a little wet out near Bluemont Park. Ride Bonus - trail nearly deserted - no strollers, no bikes with training wheels, etc.

Orienteering (Bowie) 2:28:00 [2] 7.2 km (20:33 / km)

Set out to do the Blue course at Bowie with Darcy. Only 8.5 k and 27 controls - piece of cake. But Bowie is kind of crappy in the best of times, and this time of year was even worse with all the grasses and green not dead like it is in the winter. And, believe it or not, the water features were sometimes dry and missing! Anyway, we did about half the controls with varying degrees of sucess. But I enjoyed the day and the company. The distance is what we actually covered, not "as the crow flies."

Walking (To start and back) 16:00 [1] 1.4 km (11:26 / km)

Walk to start and back.
