Running (DCRRC Burke Lake 12K) 1:13:54 [3] 12.0 km (6:10 / km)

Actually did better than I thought I would - ran the entire 1st half and only had to walk the hills on the return. There were 3 hills on the road to the finish. I was passed by 2 22 year olds on the second uphill. I hauled butt and caught them and finished 2 seconds ahead of them. Always look for a motivating factor at a race - I wanted to take the really stocky guy who ran ahead of me the whole way, but I just couldn't do it and finished 20 seconds behind him.
Chillier than I thought it would be.
Mile splits were 1007 953 1006 957 1005 1012. First half was 3650 & 2nd was 3704.

Misc (80) 2:24 [1]

& pushups (untimed) were 15 (g) and 1/2 (m). :)

Trail Run (Potomac Overlook Park) 1:00:00 [2] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Worked the results for the Potomac Overlook Trail Run today. Wasn't sure if I really felt like running or not - I have chest congestion and laryingistis again. But decided to go for a spin after the race was over. Went from Potomac Overlook Park down to the blue blazed Potomac Heritage trail. Turned up river for a little bit having forgotten how rocky this area is. Turned around and went back into the park for a loop on the race course. A little windy in parts but an enjoyable run. Probably a bit closer to 4.5 miles but 4 is good enough to log. Near the end, I ran up the hill at the DRRA pool 5 times.

Misc (80) 2:06 [1]

and pushups: 5 manly ones (straight out and chin to the floor!) & 10 girlie ones.

Running (Bike Trail) 34:51 [2] 3.45 mi (10:06 / mi)

I didn't plan to run today, but I really needed to stretch my legs & burn off some frustration after a couple hours at the allergist. Skin tests didn't turn up anything. So, I have to try another nasal spray for 3 weeks & then maybe a course of antibiodics (sp?).

Toured the bike path behind the house. A little windy but not too bad. Had used inhaler during a breathing test at the doctor's at noon, so I did not use it again before I ran. Actually felt better than yesterday. Maybe I should try using it an hour before going out instead of 20 minutes.

The measured halves were 446 and 444 (into the wind - not too shabby).

Walking (Breaks during run) 26:48 [1] 1.75 mi (15:19 / mi)

Walked portions including up the big hill which I hate - twice! I had only done 30 minutes when I arrived back at the house so I decided to run some more and ended up at the bottom of the dreaded hill again.
