Running (Annapolis 10 Miler) 1:37:42 [3] 10.0 mi (9:46 / mi)

My 2nd best effort at this distance. Temps never reached 70 before the end of the race. Annapolis 10 is famous for heat, humidity and hills. Only the last was in evidence today... Felt good throughout. Only walked about 20 seconds 5 different times. Miles were 945 953 (including a stop to pee in the woods) 933 945 951 (bridge mile) 1005 935 953 941 939. Very pleased with my effort. Mowed the lawn later in the day. Had 2 glasses of wine and slept through the night. Have not slept well for a couple of weeks, so I appreciated the solid rest.

Training activity at Ted and Darcy's. Weather nice for Saturday in August. Course all on trails with options through the woods. Should have done controls in a different order, but I didn't look ahead - as usual! Very enjoyable event.

Got the last 200 boxes shelved and unshelved yesterday. Felt pretty beat up, but didn't hurt anything. Meant to get another workout in before this weekend, but that didn't pan out.

Running/Walking (Wakefield track) 1:00:00 [2] 5.0 mi (12:00 / mi)

Ran down to the track and then alternated 400 meter walking and running. Felt pretty good after the first mile. Lifted and moved about 100 30 lb boxes at work today. Splits are: (jog to track) 314 (lane 4 w/r/w) 409 220 351 (lane 1 r/w etc.) 207 344 206 338 211 337 207 342 201 333 202 340 159 339 212 (walk home) 343. Knee a little sore. Heels where blisters were seem to be a non-issue.

Note

Weight this morning is 184. After most workouts, I am doing situps - was 50, now up to 60.
