Mowing/Yard (Mil Wood's yard) 1:15:00 [1]

Another yard work entry - and it isn't even my yard...
Edged, swept, and a little mowing (all on a hillside).
Hmm, I wonder if a can add the paper recycling as exercise. Since it is about 2 trunkloads that have to be hauled to the car. :)

Trail Run (Fountainhead) 2:55:27 [3] 12.0 mi (14:37 / mi)

Had not planned on kicking back and doing nothing all last week, but between the heat, humidity, and the long run on Saturday, I just couldn't force myself out the door - or on to the treadmill.

Group meeting at Fountainhead at 7:30 am. I wake up at 6:58 and it is a 30 minute drive - had kind of decided to pass on it when I woke up at 5 am. But tear out the door 12 minutes later anyway figuring they would start late - they didn't. I feel comfortable at Fountainhead by myself - especially knowing the group is ahead of me and will loop back my way eventually. Trail is well blazed, with mile markers, and good footing - well, except for all of the horse poop landmines today...

Plan on 5 miles out and then back. Guy in orienteering outfit passes me about mile 3 - running strontly up the steep hill. I almost catch up to him on the flats and then another big hill. He pulls away for good. Turns out to be J. Organek who chats with me on the way back. Catch up with Brenda around mile 4. She is planning on going to the marina which is 6+ miles. I end up turning around at 6 and do a total of 12 miles. Wish I had stuck with my original plan. The last 2 miles were a bit much. Had breathing problems from mile 6-8. Used inhaler - one of few times ever used during a run. Hear later that the marina's facilities were closed - no water, no vending machines, no bathroom. Glad I didn't go all of the way there to be disappointed. Weather was great - 67 and low humidity at the start.

Miles were:
14:59 13:29 12:40 11:50 13:34 15:45
16:30 16:33 11:50 15:13 16:08 16:56
