Worked on a sewing project this weekend. Was going to run one of the days but woke up with a sore throat. Agh!!! My chest is congested this morning. :(

Running/Walking (High 3) 40:00 [2] 2.6 mi (15:23 / mi)

Too windy out for me, so got a pie into the ovven and then hopped onto the treadmill. Lungs hurt a bit, but I did the whole program including the dreaded incline parts.

60 situps and 10 girlie pushups

Walking (Wakefield track) 40:25 [1] 2.5 mi (16:10 / mi)

Walked to the track instead of running. Added a lap for a little over 1/2 mile total. Then ran 1/2, walked 1/2 4 times. The 1/2 walking times were: 843 741 735 738 850. The first and last ones are a little more than 1/2 mile.

Running (Wakefield track) 19:35 [2] 2.0 mi (9:47 / mi)

Ran 4x800 at the track.

Left knee a bit sore from Saturday. A few bruises from the triple roll down a hill during the Route-O section of my meet.

60 situps

Weight 187 - up a pound. Too many frozen custards this weekend...

Orienteering (White course) 23:04 [2] 2.4 km (9:37 / km)

Decided to do all of the courses at the meet today in order. At Lake Accotink, this involved going up this short but steep hill 4 times. Not my favorite activity...

Started with the White course. Breathing a little harsh since this was also my warm up.

Orienteering (Yellow course) 35:30 [2] 2.9 km (12:14 / km)

Moved to the Yellow course next. A couple of slight mistakes becasue of a non-existant trail. Breathing settling now.

Orienteering (Orange course) 59:22 [2] 3.9 km (15:13 / km)

Enjoyed the Orange course. I'll have to measure to see if distance took into consideration 2 uncrossable areas. Trying to get in under an hour - just make it.

Orienteering (Route-O (short)) 1:24:28 [1] 4.3 km (19:39 / km)

Had never done one of these before where there are no controls marked on the map. Had an advantage becasue I had done all of the courses earlies and knew generally where some controls were. However, I did not know if there were additional ones, so really had to pay attention. Walked most of this.

Very enjoyable day in the woods.

Running (Wakefield track) 18:00 [2] 1.75 mi (10:17 / mi)

Very windy day. Must have gone out too fast because my lungs felt like I had run a 4 minute mile.

Walking 6:00 [1] 0.3 mi (20:00 / mi)

Walked home from track. Breathing was horrible. Got home and sat down. Each breath was painful.

Tuesday update: chest a bit congested. Otherwise OK.

Running/Walking (Bluemont & back) 1:13:55 [2] 6.33 mi (11:41 / mi)

Out to the park and back - felt pretty good. Especially like the return trip the slight downhill the first 2 miles back. Outbound: ran 719 walked 804 ran 757 walked 1321 Inbound: Ran mile splits 433 447 420 359 (nothing like trying to catch someone on the trail ahead of you just for the challenge) and walked 1954.

Weight today 186 (p)

Running/Walking (Lake Accotink) 2:30:00 [2] 12.0 mi (12:30 / mi)

Three laps around the lake and one spur portion. When I got there and walked up the stairs to the restrooms I doubted that I would be able to run even a mile. But after 4 Advil and going out easy, my legs stopped feeling like lead and I actually felt pretty good. Was with Carolyn - mostly ran 6 min/walked 1.5 min. Laps were 48:43 56:01 (with 8:30 for spur) and 46:15.

Walking 16:45 [1] 1.0 mi (16:45 / mi)

Walked 400 meters between my 3 miles and then walked home.

Running (Wakefield track) 31:00 [2] 3.05 mi (10:10 / mi)

Ran down to track and then 3x1 mile with 400 walk in between (listed separately). All in lane 6 unadjusted. Breathing felt like an 8/10. Lungs weren't screaming. Looked down at one point and was covered with gnats or something. Got my haircut today - the shortest ever - can you say moon face?
