Running/Walking (Lake Accotink) 50:00 [3] 4.5 mi (11:07 / mi)

Felt like a big load as I did loop and spur. By evening, I had congestion in my chest. Still feel badly on Monday.

Thursday Mar 14, 2002 #

Running (4MR & WOD) 44:00 [3] 4.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

Ran through school to path to Four Mile Run Trail to Columbia Pike. Cross CP to WOD trail and head up to RT 50. Turn around and come back. Only change is back to house via big hill. Felt really good. Distance is probably underestimated. Crossing over the different trails confuses things. Glorious day!!

Did 16 laps in lane 6 (no distance adjustment). Ran 4 min and walked 1 min. Felt pretty good throughout. Head draining like crazy but breathing good.

Walking (track & back) 8:00 [1] 0.5 mi (16:00 / mi)

Easy jog to track and then walk back home.

Running/Walking (Med #2 +2mph) 56:00 [3] 4.0 mi (14:00 / mi)

Raining outside so went to the treadmill. Breathing much better than when I did the same workout a week ago. Did each segment with 2mph extra speed. Did 2.75 miles during program (40 mins) and then 1.25 additional miles in 16 mins.

Orienteering (White Clay Creek) 1:27:47 [3] 4.0 mi (21:57 / mi)

Ran 6.19k course in under 15 min per k. Felt good the whole way. Made some climbs I should have avoided.

Breathing is getting easier. Each 4th lane lap was about 2:36. Very painful hip this evening. Could be from the car repair I did earlier in the day - sat on ground for about an hour.

Run down to track - run 9 min walk 1 min to total 3 miles and then walk 1/4 mile home. Windy on one side of track - as usual.

Plan was to rollerblade today, but windy conditions put the nix on that. I am not too stable in the best of times... So I did a program on the treadmill...

Orienteering (Patuxent River Park) 2:39:00 [3] 6.5 mi (24:28 / mi)

Good blue course. Wheezing to start but settled in. No soreness on Monday. Did use the contraption to stretch my left PF.
