Got off my lazy butt and onto the treadmill - better than nothing at all. Breathing pretty good. Walked 1 lap, jogged 10 laps, walked 1 lap.

Moved the lawn. Need a new blade - sharpening the old one isn't doing the trick. Had to go the whole thing twice!

Trail Run (Double Trouble 15K) 2:15:00 [3] 9.3 mi (14:31 / mi)

Contined my weekend activity with the 15K at French Creek. The trails were really muddy. Started off slow to see how I felt after the mini-rogaine. Picked up some speed and felt pretty good. Finished strong about 1 minute in front of the 30K winner. I wasn't lapped - my usual goal on loop courses. Really enjoyed the last 1.5 miles - mostly downhill or flat. Had no knee problems today.
My injuries for the weekend - one black toe nail and some sore muscles.

Orienteering (French Creek Rogaine) 8:00:00 [3] 12.0 mi (40:00 / mi)

Being an "all or nothing" kind of girl, I got back into exercising in a big way with this 8 hour event. Not having a good plan, we covered more ground than we should have for the # of points. Also spent 90 minutes trying to find #65. I was determined to find it and after attacking twice from one way, finally got it after coming in from above. Earned 60 points but ripped my pants on the last try.

Right knee very painful the last 2 hours. Wanted to head right in but decided to get 14, 10 & 11 on the way.

Orienteering (Jug Bay) 1:46:17 [2] 5.0 mi (21:15 / mi)

Darcy and I tackled the Beer Chase together as has become tradition. We did each loop in about 45 minutes and only messed up 3 controls - though nothing major. Walked through the woods and ran on the road and trails. Had a good time and enjoyed my yearly visit with Darcy.

Running/Walking (Bike trail) 53:00 [3] 4.5 mi (11:47 / mi)

Ran 10 mins/walked 2 then switched to 5/2. Out to edge of Bluemont on Four Mile Run and then back on W&OD. Lungs burning first 15 minutes or so. Porbably going faster than I should have been at the beginning. Settled in and felt pretty good after that.

Ran from the house down to the bike trail to Shirlington.

Walked back to the house via a townhouse community I had never been into. Used my Timex GPS distance thingee to measure the distance.

Orienteering (Elk Neck) 3:10:00 [3] 7.0 km (27:09 / km)

Out of shape and stupid. Make every possible error on the first 3 controls. Only improved marginally after that. I rationalize that at least I got time on my feet and wasn't home reading and watching tv.
