Took the day completly off, wanting to rest left foot and right calf muscle. Hoping to keep it from getting worse.

Saturday Dec 13, 2008 #

Swim (Endurance) 55:00 [3] 1.3 mi (42:19 / mi)
rhr:39 slept:8.0 weight:166lbs

Endurance swim focusing on swim stroke and glide. Felt good, not sure if I'm swimming any faster, but I do feel like I'm much more efficient.

Note
(injured)

Right foot feels better, but still feels like a pebble on my foot when I walk barefoot. When I wear my shoed I don't feel it at all unless I start running.

My right calf muscle feels a little better, but not ready to run on it yet.

I took my coache's advice and did not run the Street Scramble, as bad as I wanted to today.

Run 48:17 [3] 6.0 mi (8:03 / mi)
ahr:146 max:171 rhr:39 slept:7.0 weight:166lbs

Wanted to run at GreenLake where it was nice and flat to test out my foot. Felt prety good for the most part, felt a little discomfort the last mile or so, but the real problem was my left calf muscle. For some reason it just got really tight and sore around mile 4. At mile 5 I really pulled up and basically jogged in for not wanting to push it any further.

It is always something...I can't get into good running shape for always have to back off for one reason or another. I'm going to take Saturday completely off and see how I feel on Sunday for the Street Scramble. After the Street Scramble I will be traveling for a few days so hopefully it will give me a chance to recover from my right foot and my left calf.

Note
(injured)

did not run today or bike. Want to make sure that my r foot does not get worse. It is feeling really good, and I might go out for a run around GreenLake on Friday.

I have no discomfort when I'm wearing my shoes, but still have a little when I go bare foot.
