Different loop throught the quarry and across Cochno dam. Lovely evening, felt pretty awful until warmed up, then felt pretty awful but warmed up thereafter.

Scottish Relay Champs
2nd leg for a handicap 8+ team. Went out a bit on my own and had a pleasant, slightly lonely, run round Drumlainrig. Good course. Quite a lot of climb as is inevitable in Drumlainrig. Fun set of butterfly loops in the second half. A couple of errors but nothing like yesterday and much more fun.

Scottish Champs - M55L - Dalbeattie. Rought, tough, pokey forest. Started with a positive attitude and 2 contact lenses. Lost the positive attitude and both lenses by the end. I had one major horror of a 7 minute mistake trying to work out which of the big ditches in the pokey forest were on the map. Second relocation was successful. Various other problems of a smaller nature. Charlie won in 64 with what was not a clean run either.

6*500m or so round the outside of the pitches at Garscube. Shouting out times for the "slower" of the fast juniors. They were running well.

Blue course at S Achray. Good course in a good forest. Fun and tricky, not very competent, but enjoyed running through the fields of buebells.

Long warm up then juniors did 5*600m and I trailed along behind the group I could keep up with as a mobile stopwatch. They were all running solidly. Brilliant evening for it.

WHW to Beech Tree, Distillery to pipe track, Strathblane, Mugdock and Craigallean, Khyber Field, Reservoirs, Dougalston and home. Lovely cool, sunny morning. Everything dry. Many, many walkers on WHW. A joy to be out.

The Slack, clockwise, on some paths less traveled. Lovely cool sunny morning. Quite dry underfoot. Entertained myself by having a go at the Strava segment from the top to the gas pumping station, partly because it is fun, and partly for it's name "Dave's route descent" 2.8km and 320m descent. 11:18 which was 1:47 faster than any of my previous efforts, and 1:19 behind the all time fastest. Ho Hum, that is beyond my reach :-)
AHR 150, which means I was trying.

In the morning. It was hot (but not as hot as the evening), it was humid (just as humid as the evening). Bit more of a pleasant park/trail run rather than brutal concrete sidewalk.

Late afternoon in Orlando. Hot and extremely humid. Suffered and decided to stop after 2 laps as I felt as if I might explode from the heat.
