Brisk evening outing. Langbank, Baldernock hill, Mugdock Village and back via reservoirs. Saw 33mph on the speed camera. Calf fine with this sort of thing, even when pressing on.

WHW to Carbeth huts, Rosies Rd (First successful ascent!) and back through Craigallean, Khyber fields and the reservoirs. Weather went from windy and threatening to Biblically wet (as threatened).

Drizzle to torrential rain, cool and windy. Out WHW past a Garscube group, Rosies Rd (another fail) differently through Mugdock and home via reservoirs. Probably saw Ty setting out. Calf OK with this sort of thing.

WHW to Rosies Rd, back through Mugdock, Khyber field and reservoirs. Only mildly surprised by a pig at Boards, and a small diversion to avoid a noisy encampment in the forest. Another Rosie Rd fail.

L Calf OK with cycling in the way it wasn't with running.

Planned a gentle trot round the trails in Craigallean. L calf thought otherwise so stopped after a few minutes.

Golf club to WHW, Carbeth, Rosies Rd and back via Khyber field and reservoirs. Quite busy on a good, warm morning. Almost managed Rosies Rd climb without stopping.

Out past the reservoirs, through Mugdock Village, over Baldernock hill, loop at Torrance and back via the ford. Felt a bit like hard work, but actually going reasonably quickly.

Totally made up numbers as I had a Garmin fail and a phone Strave (operator) failure. Gentle tootle with L to test calf, then gentlish tootle round Mains Estate, golf club, Reservoirs and Dougalston. A bit damp and lots of high wet grass and nettles across the paths. Met Ty and managed not to blank him this time, so had a quick chat.

4 more hills in Mains Plantation. 3:22, 20, 21, 19 with 3 minutes down recovery. Wet and a bit slippery, quite happy with the times.
L calf went tight low down halfway through the warm down.

356 clockwise via the bunker on the way up. Still sunny and warm and grounds very dry almost everywhere.

WHW, Rosies Rd, Khyber Field, home. Thunder threatened, some rain fell.

Classic 356 clockwise, with no teenagers complaining that this route is too steep :-) Warm, quiet, breezy. head-clearing run.

Local road run, including setting times on a few segments. Warm, humid, sweaty and lots of pollen.

Khyber Pass via Mains, Mugdock, Baldernock and back via the ford.

Half-hearted attempt to set some times on local Strava segments. A bit too warm, humid and pollen-rich for fast running.

Mountain Biking 2:06:00 [3] 36.0 km (3:30 / km) +500m 3:16 / km

New route including both the blue and green training grounds. Dougalston, Baldernock, Lennox forest, Lennox to Strathblane cycle path, up through Mugdock past Boards, Khyber field, loop at the reservoirs and home. Occasional minor navigational uncertainties. Got back before the rain.

Out to into the wind to Torrance via various backroads and back over Baldernock, Mugdock village and reservoirs. Still large enough cross-section to set off the speed trap.

Trail run 52:20 [3] 9.0 km (5:49 / km) +240m 5:08 / km

Another set of hills in Mains Plantation. Same hill as last few weeks, but this time a bit wet and slippery. 4 hills in 3:24, 24, 26,20.

Out to WHW through the golf club, Rosies Rd and back through Khyber field, with an extra loop at the reservoirs. Cool and slightly damp.

Orienteering 45:33 [3] 9.3 km (4:54 / km) +100m 4:39 / km

Jog up to Baljaffray then a go at the "Long" MapRun course there in 29:xx, Thomas ran it about 3 minutes faster.

Mountain Biking 2:20:00 [3] 31.6 km (4:26 / km) +520m 4:06 / km

Out WHW, with brief backtrack due to a police closure near Clobber. Met Ty (running) so chatted with him all the way to road near Carbeth. Carbeth, Kilmannan, forest roads to Dunellen, then Loch with No Name and down to John Muir Way through quarry and home. Lovely low effort outing on a sunny morning.

Figure 8 run over the 356. Contemplated going further but didn't feel enthusiastic enough for that. Relatively busy in a very physically distanced way.

Two loops anti-clockwise of Loch Ardinning. A bit damp which at least meant it was quiet.

Hills in Mains Plantation. 3:23, 22, 27, 20, so still not quite got the pacing right.

Various bits round Baldernock and a side trip to the Mugdock Visitor Centre - car park now open.

MapRun course on Baljaffray, so not the most technical, and apparently I had run the course before, but good to get out with a map for a change.
