WOG!

Today was a map layout and printing day, and we're getting better with jet lag so I figured I could make it to WOG to see a few people and maybe run a little faster than I have been lately. Got there a little late, finishing up some map printing for Mook, and since it's rainy they weren't at the baseball field. Fortunately Tim B was in the lot and pointed me in an intercept direction after we chatted for a bit.

Ran opposite direction around the golf course and several groups of fast people came by. Each time I sort of squinted into the rainy darkness to see if I knew anyone and people sort of looked back at me and said hi, and I wondered if I just couldn't see properly or people had forgotten me or whether there were really several groups of WOG runners without a single person I knew. Then I went around a bend and there came Steve F. and Jen and there was much rejoicing on both sides. Joined them for the last bit of their tempo and chatted our way back to parking.

On my way out Joe P. pulled in, he was not up to running but came by just to say hi! Randy said, "this is why we don't change WOG." Indeed.

Checking and streamering locations for Monday's race at Catalina. Saw lots of critters, including three mule deer that kept appearing and a jerd of javelina that took a little bit to get around.

In Tucson, which is heavenly. Already knocked out the trip's obligatory Bear Canyon Loop, this time with 4 Canucks in tow. Bash took many pictures so I am just going to wait for her to log the run and point you there for all the juicy details.

And here it is! Head over to Bash's log for lots of photos!

Stretching/Yoga 12:00 [1]

Strangely I seemed particularly limber.
