Stayed home with Lukas today to let him fully recover and to try to keep him from infecting his classmates. It snowed all afternoon, looking like it would provide a nice topping over the big base. Once Melissa came home I grabbed my skis and headlamp and was out the door for the first evening ski of the season. There was enough new snow covering the ice of our driveway and street that I was able to start and end my ski at the top of the steps to our apartment. #spoiled

Took the lit trail out to Hammeren and then turned on my headlamp for the second half of the loop around Ankerveien and back to Langmyr. There was enough snow to make it delightful without being a pain. It's not fast but I prefer having a bit of snow to make all the descents completely harmless over having really fast tracks.

Why don't ski jackets have pit vents?

Note

omg germs are the worst. I am not sick (yet) but the other two are and it's not pretty. It's extra exhausting that our family network is thousands of miles away.

We're supposed to fly to Arizona on Saturday. Wish us luck.
