Note

Happy to run the relay at WOC this year so that we have a team and thus a chance to get back our second forest start!

I've been very good this year by starting to take allergy meds at the very beginning of April when it still very much felt like winter. I was tickled when I felt totally fine through the 10Mila weekend, even as my teammate Anne was suffering with bad allergies. Then Oslo got very warm and dry and summery this week and now I feel dumb for gloating. It's not as bad as in past years:
my nose doesn't turn into an open faucet every time I go outside, just a leaky one, and I was able to run today without stopping to rest and cry. So I guess the meds do something.

It was a gorgeous day, over 20° and sunny and dry. Spent most of it outside with Lukas and I felt it. Pollen is stupid. Ran a short loop in the woods to get out and move. I survived.

First week of new job was awesome.

Long run on a beautiful sunny May Day from Romsås to Akebakken with Louise, Siri, and Lone. Louise had mapped out a route that took almost entirely small trails and we just did what she said. Only a few small mistakes. ;-)

Lone and Siri (following from in front) we're moving faster than I would have done on my own and I lasted about an hour before I started falling behind farther than they could see. Definitely need to do more longer runs so this was a good outing. It's a lot better with company!
