Orienteering race 3:28:03 [3]
shoes: Jalas2

Billygoat 32. This was the toughest of the 12 goats that I've run. Way tougher than the last time people wanted to get a noose and string up the course setter.

It was the allure of the David Bryant-designed T-shirt that kept me going, to a large part.

Tough, tough race. I took spill after spill on the steep side hills. I barrel-rolled coming down from #6, scraping up my elbow and shoulder. Made a couple of doozy mistakes. Managed to suck it up and finish under the time limit.

Walking 15:00 [2] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Jalas2

Walk from Lake Bray shelter to the start of BG 32. Steep Hill. As tough as the race turned out to be, I'm thrilled I didn't have that much more climb while on the clock. Yikes.

Cycling 40:00 [3] 8.0 mi (5:00 / mi)
ahr:121 max:155

Recumbent trainer on the endurance program. did all of Sunday's Sudokus. This is a couple of times now that I've done a diabolical with elevated HR and (1) not screwed up and (2) solved it faster than I bet I would have done if not sweating. Each puzzle is an experiment of 1, however, so it might just be an illusion.
