Orienteering race 2:04:31 [3] 6.8 km (18:19 / km) +275m 15:14 / km
ahr:140 max:169 shoes: Jalas2

Occasionally fuzzy contact, but generally good planning, with a couple of instances of mis-execution, and good stamina. I must have done a fair amount of easy running if my HR averaged below 140 for 5 legs, and wasn't much over 140 on 5 others. That's a lot of tentative movement.

Orienteering 45:00 [1] 2.0 km (22:30 / km)
shoes: Jalas2

Picking up 3 controls near the road, including one that was a water stop, which surprised me. I spiked the first control at a walk, spiked the 2nd control, and decided to go back to the car with the trash before picking up the 3rd control. I made an error carrying the bulky cardboard box with empty jugs and cups plus 2 control stands.

Spiked the 3rd control after eventually finding my car.

Road running warm up/down 40:00 [1] 4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: BA7

Warmup (1M), c/d (0.6M) and 10 x ~0.2x M recovery between intervals, with a slightly longer recovery between 2 sets of 5.

Road running intervals 38:50 [4] 5.0 mi (7:46 / mi)
ahr:163 max:178 shoes: BA7

10 times 0.5M on the treadmill, in 2 sets of 5, at 8.6-8.7mph (around 3:26-3:28), with an average of 3:27 at an average HR of 163.

10 reps seemed so daunting when I was at 2 and 3. I thought I'd never make it. Breathing started 2-2, but about the middle of rep #4, it shifted to 2-1.5. By the 2nd set, it was quickly shifting from about a minute of 2-2 breathing to 2-1.5 or 2-1 breathing.

I turned the fan off between sets, and felt uncomfortably cool during the 2nd set.
