Walking 1:20:00 [1] 6.0 mi (13:20 / mi)

With others from the synagogue to City Hall for a March for Our Lives demonstration. We missed the first part. Then, marched north on Main St where we left the march at Highland, while the others doubled back toward City Hall. At one point, we looked back down Main St and someone remarked that she couldn't even see the end of the line of marchers coming from City Hall.

Then back via Highland.

Note

After watching the XC skiers at the World Masters Ski-O Championships, I got an idea to try to XC ski again. I have XC skiied once, 20+ years ago, very clumsily. Twenty years (+/-) back, I took an unwanted NordicTrack from my neighbor. So I got the idea to try to get it put together to try it out. It's a NordicTrack Sequoia, manufactured in 1994, which I read somewhere that it cost in 1990 dollars the equivalent of about $650 today. Yikes. Not even a terribly function-filled skier: no electronic feedback or even anything to display accumulated distance. Today I purchased a bolt and nut to steady a vertical piece and tried it out for the first time.

XC skiing 14:00 [1] 1.0 mi (14:00 / mi)

No idea how much this would translate to distance. I had the resistance band set to low resistance. The resistance levels might also have degraded over the intervening 23+ years that the elastic band has sat there.
