Had the afternoon off so decided to do a long run, it was longer than I expected. Started out on the normal boring straight track down to Raulston, passed the gym and to the edge of the town. I followed one of the random tracks that goes out on to the prairie, it looped around a bit, visiting several bits of oil infrastructure. One of the turns took to me all the way to Suffield. This meant the run back was basically a 5km straight dirt track. The prairie here is very dull. A slightly undulating, never ending, expanse of grass land. Criss crossed by some very straight tracks and infested with so many mosquitoes that if you stop you are eaten alive.
