Recce of he second half of the Edale sky line with Wright, Smelkington, Baba and Rich. Parked just below MamTor and my legs were hurting on the jog up to the ridge. Followed the skyline route all the way around to ringing rodger with a couple of bath room breaks. Then down to Edale and up Mam Tor (not to the top though) and back to the car.
Coming off ringing rodger the sole of my shoe tore off, so had to do a couple of quick attempts at fixing it and run back to the car. Had to do a little bit of walking when I had no grip on the way up behind Mam Tor.

Friday Rivelin Run with Willy, Jack, Matt, Baba and Jonny. Nice to get out for a run with the guys and run at a decent speed. Got updated on current ShUOC happenings. Quads were hurting a coming back up towards Crookes.

Sandhurst cup training. 12kg in webbing.

Had a stretcher race out on to the area, headed from the obstacle course up to the Windsor ride gate and then it was just lungs out up the hill swapping on and off the stretcher once on the flat continued past the FOB and turned down the hill at the next track. Pretty dead by the time we got there, hips and lower back knackered from leaning down to take the stretcher.

Run back from where we dropped the stretchers as a team so going at the pace of the slowest which was a nice bit if recovery.

Finished session off by going over the wall 12ft wall a few times, I ended yuo pushing people up and then having to do last man drills (reach down and pull up the last guy). My arms currently feel like they are going to fall off also got dropped at one point and my elbow is pretty sore.

PT session running the Log race route with the Platoon luckily with out the logs. Legs were not feeling particularly good.

Luckily had skills based training today as legs are not in a good way. I considered going for a run to ease them off but then I sat down and that seemed like a much better way to spend some time.

Early Morning Sandhurst cup training. 25kg without a weapon. Tabbing around Sandhurst, did a large loop of the camp in our teams with two 25kg ammo boxes that had to be carried by two people. Started out fairly gently then the efforts began these were pretty tough and we had to stay as a team. Once we got back to the gym we had to get two more ammo boxes (30 and 35kg) we then dropped day sacks and had to do a best effort loop of about 1.5k this was brutal as we only had one spare person to swap on and off the ammo boxes.
Finished up with some rope climbs.

Monday Feb 23, 2015 #

Short tab and then some press-ups and knees to chest and burpees for a warm up.

OFT training. 3x 1 mile intervals. First with just rifle, second with webbing and rifle, third with all kit 19kg. Interval were around the PFA loop and then had a 300m walk recovery.
Thuis was not a fun way to start a monday morning. Legs were pretty gone by the end of the third interval.

Couple of laps of the football pitch to keep the pulse rate up while some people finished. Then we were doing intervals of firemans carry, baby carry and over shoulder carries. Followed by some short sprints with press-ups at the turn around point.
