The cricket pitch used for intervals was basically underwater so we went for a run down to the old railway and then back up to the village and back to the cricket pitch. Think this was probably better for my legs than intervals would have been.

Warm up with Jack W before Bamford sheep dog trial. There was a little extra as had to jog from the station as realised neither of us knew where we were going.

Bamford Sheep dog trial. This started out well along the flat section and was running well. Until the hill climb started! I barely ran any of the climb, was really struggling and having to walk most of it. Got to the top a little behind Jack and attempted to catch him on the down hill, which didn't work. He pulled out a lot more on the stepp section and I was having to work along the paths to try and catch the guys ahead. Caught a Totley guy just as we hit the track and pulled away from him in the last section. Finished 6th which I am pretty happy about.

Blisworth 5miles. Tried to go off a little slower in this one and it didn't go so well. I was pretty dead by thetop of the hill going back past the start at about 1.5 miles but I was quite high up. Unfortunately this didn't last and a couple of people over took me on the way to Gayton. A couple more came past me near 3 miles and I started dropping of the back a little from the group until the 4th mile marker where I tried to catch up going up the final hill, unfortunately didn't manage to over take anyone in the last 500m.

PT session on RE visit. Set out as a competitive circuits session with press-ups, rowing, deadlifts, squats and some running. A lot harder than I thought it would be had several people vomit during the session.

Loop in the sun with Willy and Ali. Went the reverse way around extended East Haddon loop. Nice day to be running and the field are all alot nicer now they have dried out completely. Apart from the field of rape that are taller than me and impossible to get through. Hip feeling a lot better and only a little tight for the last sections.

Work to athletics. Now held near the police HQ so a much shorter run. Hip was feeling extremely tight when I woke up this morning but loosened a little during the day and on this run.

Rugby 6miles. First road race for a long time and I went off far too quick and paid the price. Finished in 11 and quite happy with the time though but I was really struggling from around half way then felt a little better just before the final hill which seemed to go on for ever (only about 1k). Had to work very hard to keep a decent pass along the final mile which was pretty much completely flat.

Long Night at 10mila. This was tough, messed up on one a little but came into it at the same time as two other. Ran with them for until 7 or 8 joined by 2 more here then 5 more coming into the TV control. Working hard for the rest of the course to stick with this pack, we were running fairly cleaning but a few misses on some of the controls. Made lost some of the pack slightly in the last section where everyone took different routes across the shit but pull back to some on the run in. Only lost two places overall which I am fairly happy with considering they were on the run in with me. This was a tough run though and I didn't do very much navigation. Absolutely dead afterwards.
