Brutal pace to start with. Clean through most the course. Slightly longer gaffle in the urban area meant just behind Geoff and Will, exiting. Just couldnt close the gap and ended up just under a minutes down, in 3rd place. Time on par with Marcus and Nick so pretty happy. Ben was a little down on Jon and Jase solid on last leg in 37, holding off SYO, behind FVO, taking victory and BOK 2nd.

JK Day 3 - Kilnsey, 3rd 79.58 Marcus 71.30. Lots of effort but not great performance today, especially 4 minutes down on Al. Kept loosing time in the circle standing next to the flag and not seeing them and being 100% confident. Lost 2 minutes on long leg back, not far enough over and another 2 minutes in bits and pieces from there.

3rd overall so pleased to have a medal and getting in front of Geoff and Paul

JK Day 2 - Wass. Solid run although lost around 3 minutes. Wouldn't have been able to get close to Marcus' time wich was an impressive 62 minutes. Need to be better at hills to get close. Happy with 2nd in front of AL and Geoff.

Outing in Touch. Last minute decision to have an explore, after being in Stirling town. Found my planning from SOL on route gadget and ran on the phone. black course, with a few missing legs. Tough in the forest especially when no forest left. Tougher on top then I remember as well.

Very enjoyable and technically challenging second outing onto Dumyat in the mist.
Lots of energy spent early on to get ahead (not Spongy or GG obviously) only to waste time standing next to #8 for a couple minutes, at which point Jon caught up. Preceded to mess about after that but not as much as Jon and Jase!

New Route! From the start of the old railway line up to Argaty Red Kite centre (lots of Red Kites flying around!) then found a link path, thanks to the centre warden, across to Lundie Farm road to drop down towards Doune Ponds. Negotiated windblow on the Doune o map (pretty much nothing left) and back down the railway line, just in time for a 3 o'clock meeting.

Nice to be out in the daylight.

Legs still screwed from Sunday. Paying the price for a PB.

Cambuslang Down by the River 10km
35.19 official time (a new PB), 2 seconds behind Fanni! Very happy to get chicked by a stronger runner, as I was holding on in the end. I did manage to get Strathearn club record by a second!
Jon produced a strong 38.30 outing and unfortunately Ross' calf not taking the brisk 3.15 first km.
Had wanted to break 35 but slight cold and gradual uphill return along the river made this difficult. Garmin being very stingey on the climb so manualy adjusted to reality.
