ride from Braco to Port of Menteith to Nick Nairns cookery school

some great food and wine at lunch and lots of Thai cooking skills

good job tail wind home as feeling a bit bloated

Orienteering 58:00 [4] 7.0 km (8:17 / km)

scottish relays - 6th FVO second team with Kyle and Ross

lost 3 mins at #2 and 2 and #3 and 1 at #4 and another minute later had to walk up the hills and felt rough. catching Jase later helped spur me on. Could so easily have come back clear second.

7 minutes of mistakes, 5 minutes of slow running -

good wee area and look forward to some local training

British relays - Open with James and Marcus
6th overall which is pretty respectable

James 11th 35 min
Roger 8th 38 min
Marcus 6th 36 min

Could have been a couple of minutes quicker, 5 seconds down on Jez at start 15 at the end, just lost 30 seconds near end, otherwise would have been 6th.

Orienteering 1:17:00 [5] 12.66 km (6:05 / km) +360m 5:20 / km

British Champs Wharncliffe - Felt determined to orienteer in control and no big mistakes. Tricky control sites meant approach of discipline worked well. Lost about 2-3 minutes.

Key difference from Jez and Al was their bigger mistakes total 4 / 5 minutes. Victory is sweet.

Trip down to Orford, Suffolk for another beery gathering. Run in Tunstall forest with dawn, ran in terrain to equalise speed.

Dumyat Hill race - took the banter challenge from Will and pushed up the hill, took it easier down, and had enough to hold position at the end. 1 min 30 quicker than 4 years ago so pretty pleased - fast with it being very dry
