Sam's Stag do mtb ride from ambleside. started off as the slowest ride in history around Loughrigg then onto little langdale, Holme fell, Tarn hows and back. got much faster once groups split.

Football game on muddy pitch in Ambleside. Really knackered after ride with lots of sprinting. HR really high at some points - maybe pro footballers are fit after all.

intended run around fairfield horseshoe with Jez. got to the top of the ridge and carried on north towards Helvellyn. realised mistake after dropping 200m. by the time back on thr ridge very cold, wet and getting dark so went back same route back tp starting point at Rydal.

Cyclo-cross at Plean

Predictably went out hard and way to fast. Looking at splits was 4 seconds down on Fraser after 5 laps, at which point his race finished and the pain started on mine. next two laps a minute slower per lap.

Saddle slipped down half way round not helping.

Main thing beat Chris by 1 place -

Club run at Sauchie crags. Run round North Third. No social jog here, with a good pace set by Will and Ross. Legs heavy when hitting the hills.

VHI relays = cracking area, technical and ultra fast grass sand dunes, 3rd leg, out with John Tullie in tow, clean for 1st half then missed by 20 seconds enough for Nick B to catch up, wheeling in 1 min down. Ran head to head with Nick picking different routes, until easy end few controls and then just hanging on. Rona took over and nearly over took Sarah n. 2nd fastest on long so happy and top scottish team not bad considering picked to be 4 or 5th team.

VHI individual - fast open dunes, pretty flat. good solid run but lost couple of minutes, 2.5 minutes down on Nick. 59 minutes for 9.6km. 3rd for 35 with Marcus in between. Ben H also snuck in with 58min.
