Nicked off early from home working to meet dawn in Dunkeld - left plenty of time apart from significant head wind making it a battle all the way. good hard session.
Out in first place and back in first place - head to head with Martin W. A very dark start with what was classed as a dawn leg! Had absolute shocker navigating from the finish rather than the start! lost 5 minutes and nearly life into a very deep quarry. I will always check out start route and finish layout before running with that being the longest 5 minutes of my life. Was very relieved to see Martin on long leg after about half an hour who had caught up after messing up number 4. couldn't get away later as had a few misses but was stronger on the hill to pull away a 30 second lead to allow jon to slip away in the now daylight.
reasonably solid run - saving for Harvester. 20 minute warm up. Sore achillioes and cold building. 3rd place ok considering not pushing - think everybody was the same though.
Laigh hills - 4 minutes of mistakes thanks to tricky control placing and little care on my part - trainers and no compass not exactly good planning to get the mind focussed
had the spare car parked at Kier roundabout but running late so just drove past on the way home and gave it a miss. Sore throat still and achillies not good so makes sense I suppose
