Cycling long 3:22:24 [3] 86.48 km (25.6 kph) +1882m
ahr:142 max:169

Loop north from st valier through to gorge du loup then back over the plateau around caussols. All amazing especially the long climb up to the plateau and some of the descents. Stunning scenery all the way, of all different kinds - Provence, alpine meadows & valleys, karst gorge, tunnels. Hertfordshire might seem a bit run of the mill when I get back.

Similar route to the previous day with an extra loop in the woods. Hoped to climb up to a peak at the furthest part of the loop, but took a wrong turn at a 5-way junction and then ran out of time.

Cycling 1:12:49 [3] 30.39 km (25.0 kph) +666m

Up through st valier to the col du ferrier and back. One of the simplest rides you could do from here but it was still great with a 250m and a 400m climb.

Off-road running 1:15:23 [1] 10.31 km (7:19 / km) +243m 6:32 / km
ahr:130 max:155 shoes: Icebug Bugforce

Went for an easy forest track jog with em. Spoiled it a bit by missing a turning and going 1-2km and some heavy terrain over the advertised route

Really nice out & back walk with the girls and em’s parents. The climb out of the gorge with lily on my back and the picnic bag on my front definitely counted for something!

New route in and out of the gorge, steep rocky and fantastic. Tried to go at a tempo pace up the last climb out of the gorge as it would be a shame to leave without giving it a go.

Double buggy boulangerie run - or the “blue lingerie run” as lily likes to call it :-)

Terrain running long 1:27:46 intensity: (27:46 @2) + (1:00:00 @3) 16.1 km (5:27 / km) +615m 4:35 / km

Excellent long run around the hill behind us, Claux de bautuas
Lots of it was cruisey if a bit stony & steep but there was a 2-3 km section in the middle that was tough going. Quite technical and constantly up and down with fantastic views across the gorge through the trees.
I’d like to do this one again with one or two extension loops.
